Our place is over at 22 Pimpri on 17th Cross, right off Sampige Road. It’s a busy area and there’s always something happening outside. Thyssen Krupp Industries has been at this spot for a good while. The building isn't new, but it's sturdy and holds everything we need. Most of us walk or bike in from the nearby neighborhoods. You can hear the hum of machines and people talking as soon as you step inside. It's a large setup, so you end up doing a lot of walking from one end to the other during the shift. We have various departments all working under one roof. Some days it feels a bit cramped, but we make it work. The 17th Cross is a familiar sight for all of us. There’s a small park not too far away where some people eat their lunch. We don't really do much in the way of fancy meetings; it’s mostly just getting the tasks done. People here have been working together for a long time, so everyone knows everyone else’s business. It feels like a small town inside a big company sometimes. We deal with a lot of technical stuff, and things can get complicated, but we just take it one step at a time. It’s a practical environment. No one puts on airs. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and head home to our families when the day ends.
