The Veg Pizzeria

Being located at Vishrantwadi Midc 33/83 means we deal with a lot of people working in the nearby factories and offices. It’s an industrial sort of area, so it’s not exactly pretty outside. We opened The Veg Pizzeria because there weren’t many places to grab a bite around this specific part of the MIDC. Most mornings start with us checking the ovens and making sure the dough is actually rising like it should. Sometimes it doesn’t, and that’s a whole different problem to solve before lunch starts. We don’t have a massive menu because we can’t handle that many different ingredients in our small kitchen. It’s just us back there, usually with the radio on and the sound of the oven humming in the background. It gets really hot in here during the summer months. We try to keep things simple. People come in, they want a pizza without meat, and we make it for them. We don't have any fancy seating or waiters in suits. It’s just a practical spot. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time for that yet. We’re usually too busy cleaning up flour or dealing with the delivery guys who get lost trying to find our address. It’s a bit out of the way, but we’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us. Usually, by the time we close, we are just ready to sit down for five minutes before heading home to do it all again tomorrow.
