Khondhwa 15/5 is where we opened The Star Kids. It’s a small shop dedicated to clothes and things for children. Khondhwa is always buzzing with people, so there’s a lot of foot traffic outside our door. Inside, we have racks of small shirts, dresses, and those tiny socks that always seem to get lost. It’s not a designer boutique. We just sell practical clothes that kids can run around in without their parents worrying too much about the cost. The shop is colorful, but that's mostly because of the merchandise, not the decor. We have a few old mirrors and some hangers that have seen better days. When mothers come in with their toddlers, it usually gets pretty chaotic with kids running between the racks. We’ve learned to be patient. We don't have a big marketing budget or fancy window displays. We just put a few new arrivals out front so people see them as they walk by. Sometimes the shop feels a bit small, especially when a shipment of new winter wear arrives and we have boxes stacked up to the ceiling. We just move things around until everything fits. It’s a local spot where people from the neighborhood come to buy a birthday gift or a new set of school uniforms. We like the energy of the area, even if it’s a bit loud at times. Being near the market means we always see familiar faces stopping by for a quick look at the latest stock.
