We are tucked away on Delux Road in the Pimpri Colony area of Pune. If you know the neighborhood, you know it can get pretty busy with all the shops and people moving about. The school has been part of this street for a long time now. It’s a primary school, so we mostly deal with the younger kids. They bring a lot of energy to the place, which is good but also keeps us on our toes. The building itself is older, but it serves its purpose well. We have simple classrooms where the children learn their ABCs and basic numbers. We don't have big budgets for fancy technology, so we rely on good old-fashioned teaching with books and chalk. The teachers are mostly women from the local area who have a lot of patience with the little ones. Sometimes the kids get a bit rowdy during the lunch break in the small corridor, but that is expected with that age. We try to keep things clean, but with so many little feet running around, it's a constant task for us. Parents often stop by to chat about how their kids are doing. It feels more like a big family than a formal institution. We just want the kids to be able to read and write well before they move on to high school. It’s a humble place, just doing what needs to be done for the local community.
