Indira Kids

Our place is at 83/3 in the Atharva Residency, right across the road from the Prabhavi Tech Park in Baner Gaon. It is an interesting spot because you have the big tech buildings on one side and then the more residential feeling of the residency on our side. We have a small area set up with items for children. It’s not a very big shop, just a few rooms where we keep everything. The walls are a plain off-white, and we have some simple wooden shelves that a local guy built for us. We get a mix of people coming in, some who work at the tech park and some who live in the apartments nearby. The street outside can get a bit dusty because there is often some construction happening somewhere in Baner. We usually keep the door half-closed to keep the dust out, but you can still hear the motorbikes going past. There’s a small plant near the entrance that we try to water every day, though sometimes we forget. We don't have any fancy computer systems for checkout, just a notebook and a pen mostly. It is a quiet kind of business. We like to sit and watch the people going to work in the mornings while we get things ready. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood here. We don’t do anything special, just show up and keep the shop open for whoever needs something for their kids.
