The Prime Agro

I usually get to Armament 101 before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with agricultural stuff means you follow the seasons more than the clock. This place is full of bags and samples of things people need for their land. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just talking to folks who stop by to ask about their crops. The office isn't much to look at, just some shelves and a couple of heavy tables. We’ve been at this address for years and know most of the people around here by name. Sometimes the dust from the yard gets into everything, so we spend a lot of time sweeping. It gets tiring when the weather doesn't cooperate with the farmers, because then things get quiet for us too. We don't do much fancy talking or use big words. We just know what works for the soil in this area. My boots are usually dirty by noon. People come in with handfuls of dirt or leaves asking what’s wrong. We just look at it and tell them what we think based on what we saw last year. It’s practical work. There’s no air conditioning, just a big fan that rattles. We stay until the last truck leaves the area. It's a steady life here at The Prime Agro. We don't change things much because the old ways of doing business still work fine for us.
