The Orient Chinese & Thai Food

The Orient Chinese & Thai Food is located in Yerwada. It’s a straightforward kind of place where the woks are always clanging. We have a small kitchen in the back where we chop a lot of vegetables every single morning. The smell of garlic and soy sauce is pretty much stuck in the walls now. We have a few tables for people who want to eat in, but a lot of our business is just people taking food home in plastic containers. The menu is a bit long and we probably should shorten it, but people keep asking for different things. We don't have fancy white tablecloths or expensive plates. It’s all very basic because we want the focus to be on the food. The lighting is a bit bright, maybe too bright, but it helps us see what we are doing. We’ve been in Yerwada for a while and we know the delivery guys who hang out nearby. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and we can't answer it fast enough. We do our best to get the rice and noodles out while they are still steaming hot. We aren't trying to win any awards. We just want to serve decent meals to the people who live around here. It’s hard work and the kitchen gets incredibly hot, but we like it. We usually finish up late and do it all again tomorrow.
