The Mobile Stores

You can find us at The Mobile Stores near Prem Gate in Khondhwa Vitthalwadi. We sell phones and do repairs, mostly screen replacements and battery issues. The shop is small and has glass counters that I have to wipe down constantly because of the fingerprints. It’s a fast-moving business. New models come out so often it’s hard to keep up. I try to stock chargers, cables, and cases because people are always losing or breaking theirs. It’s a lot of sitting behind a small desk with tiny screws. My eyes get tired by the end of the day. The area around Prem Gate is always crowded, so there’s a lot of foot traffic. I get a lot of people asking for things I don't have. I usually tell them where they might find it instead. I don't have a big marketing budget. I just put a few posters in the window. The internet goes down sometimes, which makes it hard to process digital payments. We just wait it out. It’s a bit frustrating but that’s life here. I enjoy talking to the younger kids who know more about the new apps than I do. It keeps me updated. Sometimes I stay open late if a repair is particularly difficult. I don't mind the extra work if it means the job gets done right and the phone works again.
