We are over at Lunkad Towers on the Pune-Nagar Road. If you know Viman Nagar, you know how busy it gets around here. Our office for The Indian Seamless Metal Tubes Limited is just one of many in this spot, but we’ve been here for a bit. It’s mostly just us handling the tube business, dealing with orders, and keeping track of what’s going where. The traffic outside on the main road is always loud, but inside we just focus on the work. We aren't doing anything fancy. It's mostly about metal tubes that don't have seams, which is a specific kind of thing to deal with every day. The sun hits the windows pretty hard in the afternoons, so we keep the blinds down most of the time. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, but we manage. People come in and out, mostly talking about shipping dates or technical specs that would bore most people. We’ve got desks piled with papers and some samples of the metal lying around. It’s not a showroom, just a place where we get the job done. The guys in the back are always on the phone with the plant. It’s a lot of coordination to make sure the seamless tubes get to the right place at the right time. We just try to keep things moving without too much fuss or trouble.
