The Indian International Laboratory

We are located at 414 Ganesh Peth, which is right next to the Gurudhwara and across from Hanuman Sweets. It’s a very busy part of town, so there is always the sound of bells and people talking outside. Inside the lab, things are much quieter. We have a lot of glass equipment and machines for testing different samples that people bring in. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a lot of decorations. The walls are mostly white and everything has to stay very organized so we don't mix anything up. Usually, we are wearing white coats and spending a lot of time looking at results or writing down numbers in our notebooks. It’s a bit of a contrast from the sweet shop across the street where everything is colorful and loud. We get all sorts of people coming in with questions about their tests. Sometimes we have to explain things twice because the technical stuff can be a bit much for someone just walking in. The space isn’t very big, so we have to be very efficient with how we use the benches. It’s been our home for a long time, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of Ganesh Peth. We just come in, do our tests, and try to get the reports out to people as fast as the machines allow us. It is quiet work in a noisy neighborhood.
