The Corner Mobile Shop

The Corner Mobile Shop is exactly what it sounds like. We are sitting on a corner in Vishrantwadi, at C/33. It is a great spot because we can see everything that is happening on the street. Being at a crossroads means we get a lot of people stopping by while they are waiting for a bus or a ride. The shop is small, just enough space for a counter and some shelves for chargers and headphones. We spend a lot of our time applying screen guards or helping people set up their new SIM cards. It is a lot of fiddly work with small screws and delicate parts. Vishrantwadi is a bustling area, and there is always a layer of dust on the windows from the traffic that we have to clean off every morning. We have a couple of chairs out front for people to sit if they are waiting for a quick repair. It is not a corporate store with uniforms or anything like that. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to people like they are our neighbors, because most of them are. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a flashlight to finish a job, but we make it work. It is a steady little business and we like being the local mobile experts for the people around here. We just take things one phone at a time.
