We handle the phone connections and internet setups for the local houses and small offices around here. The interior is very simple with white walls and a few plastic chairs for people to sit while they wait their turn. We have a lot of forms to fill out, and the pens always seem to go missing when we need them. I spend most of my day looking at the computer screen or talking on the phone with the technical team. It isn't always exciting work, but people need their phones to work. When the system is slow, we just chat with the customers about the weather or the local news. The glass door at the front gets fingerprints on it five minutes after we clean it. We stopped worrying about that a long time ago. Sometimes people come in just to ask for directions because we are on a main road. We don't mind helping them out. The floor is plain linoleum that's seen a lot of footsteps over the years. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to get the paperwork done correctly so people can stay connected with their families.
