Tanishq Engineering

Tanishq Engineering is out in Chinchwad at 28/18 Akota Road. Being in an engineering area means there’s always a lot of metal clanging and machines humming around us. We’ve got a workshop where we spend most of our time. It’s usually pretty hot and smells like oil and burnt steel. That’s just the nature of the job. We don’t wear suits or sit in air-conditioned offices all day. We’re usually in our work clothes, covered in a bit of grease by noon. Chinchwad is a heavy industrial zone, so we fit right in with the other shops on Akota Road. Our day starts early, getting the machines warmed up and checking the parts we’re supposed to finish. Sometimes a machine breaks down and the whole day gets pushed back, which is frustrating but you just have to grab a wrench and fix it. We do a lot of small-scale engineering work, making parts or fixing components for other businesses. It’s not the kind of job where things are ever perfectly clean. There are shavings of metal on the floor and tools scattered on the benches. We’ve been doing this long enough that we can tell if a machine is running right just by the sound it makes. We aren't trying to be some massive factory; we’re just a local engineering shop getting through the daily list of tasks and keeping the machines running.
