Delta Engineering Works

Our shop is at number 6/B in the A1 building of Goyal Industrial Premises. It is right in the middle of J Block, so you can always hear the sound of machines running nearby. We do a lot of metal work and mechanical repairs here. The floor is usually covered in some bit of oil or metal shavings, no matter how much we try to sweep it out at night. We have been at this J-514 location for a good while. Most of the guys working here have greasy hands by noon. It's just the nature of the job. We take in pieces of machinery that aren't working right and try to get them back in shape. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the welding is going on. We have our tools organized on the walls, but someone is always looking for a specific wrench that got moved. The industrial estate is always crowded with trucks loading and unloading stuff. It’s a practical place for people who need things built or fixed. We don't have a big office or anything, just the workspace and a small desk for the paperwork. Customers usually just walk right in and show us what they need help with. We talk about the specs, look at the metal, and get to work. It is loud and dirty work, but it’s what we do every day. The work is hard on the back, but it feels good to finish a job.
