Raj Engineering Works

We are based over at Gate No-195 in Jadhavwadi, along the Chikali-Moshi Road. If you know the Moshi area, you know it's grown a lot lately with all the new workshops popping up. Our place is a bit of a mix between an old shed and a newer extension we built a few years ago. We do all sorts of engineering jobs, from welding to turning parts on the lathe. It’s a messy environment, with oil on the floor and scraps of iron piled in the corners. We don't have a big sign out front, just the name painted on the wall. Most days it’s just me and a couple of helpers working on whatever came in that morning. We don't have any fancy marketing plans or a sales team. If someone needs a part fixed or something fabricated, they just drop by and we talk about it over a cup of tea. Sometimes the work is steady, and other times we are scrambling to finish three things at once. The traffic on the Moshi road can be a nightmare, so we try to get our deliveries out early before the trucks get stuck. The roof leaks a little in the far corner when there's a heavy storm, so we just move the machines out of the way and put a bucket there. We don't have any fancy software to design parts; we mostly just sketch things out on cardboard.
