Suyog Watch Co

Suyog Watch Co is located right on 14 Baner Road in Chinchwad. If you know the area, you know how busy this road can get especially during the evening rush hour. We have been sitting in this shop for quite some time now, surrounded by the ticking sounds of all kinds of clocks. It is a small space, so every wall is pretty much covered with watches and parts. Chinchwad has changed so much since we opened, but our little corner on Baner Road stays mostly the same. People stop by when their watch battery dies or when a strap breaks. Sometimes they bring in old mechanical watches that haven't worked in years, hoping we can get the gears moving again. It is a lot of sitting and looking through a magnifying glass. My eyes get tired by the end of the day, but that is part of the job. We don't do any big advertising because most people just see our sign when they are walking past or stuck in traffic. The shop gets a bit dusty because of all the cars outside, so I spend a good amount of time wiping down the glass counters. It is not a fancy place with bright lights. It is just a workshop where we fix things and talk to the locals. Some days are slow and I just sit and watch the people go by on the street. It’s a decent way to spend the day.
