Sushrut Hospital

Over in Bhelke Nagar, right on Paud Road, is where we set up Sushrut Hospital. We are very close to the Kothrud Depot, so a lot of people use the bus to get to us. Kothrud is a busy part of town and our hospital reflects that. There is always something going on. We have been here for a good number of years now, and the building shows a bit of age, but it’s sturdy. The waiting area is usually buzzing with people from the local neighborhood. We don't have those fancy digital check-in kiosks; you just talk to the person at the front desk and they write your name down. It’s a bit old-fashioned that way, but it works for us. The doctors here are busy people, often running between rooms. Sometimes the schedule gets a bit backed up, especially on Monday mornings when everyone seems to need something at once. We have a few wards and some private rooms, though they stay pretty full most of the time. The nurses are the ones who really keep the place moving. They know where everything is and who needs what. We just focus on getting people treated and sent home when they are ready. It’s a straightforward neighborhood hospital without any of the extra bells and whistles you might see in the big corporate places downtown. We are just here at Bhelke Nagar doing our daily tasks and helping the local Kothrud community.
