Meelan Hospital Steel Furniture

We have our workshop at 427/11 in the Gultekdi Industrial Estate. It is right near Mukund Nagar on Lahane Road. If you walk down this way, you can hear the sound of metal being cut and welded all day long. We have been here for a good number of years now. We mostly focus on making hospital furniture out of steel. It is practical stuff like bed frames, bedside lockers, and the metal trolleys that nurses use in the wards. The air in the shop is usually thick with the smell of iron and fresh paint. We do not have a fancy showroom or a big office with air conditioning. It is just a work floor where we get things done. Most of the guys here have been working with steel their whole lives. We take the raw sheets and tubes and turn them into things that hospitals need. It is heavy work and our hands are always dirty. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops too. We know the people at the nearby units and we all just do our own thing. The location near Mukund Nagar makes it easy for trucks to come and pick up the finished goods. Sometimes the traffic on Lahane Road gets backed up, but we just keep working inside. We don’t use any fancy sales talk. We just make the furniture and send it out when it is ready. It is a simple business run by people who know how to weld and bend metal.
