The Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital is right here in Pune, Maharashtra. It’s a big place, and those of us who work here see a lot of different things every single day. Being in the 411033 area, we are surrounded by the fast-growing parts of Pune. The hospital is busy from early morning until late at night. There’s always someone coming through the doors, whether it’s patients, their families, or the delivery guys bringing in supplies. We don't really think of ourselves as some big corporate entity when we are on the floor. It’s more about just helping the person standing in front of you. The hallways are long and there’s always a bit of a rush to get things done. We have a lot of staff from all over the country, so you hear a mix of languages in the breakroom. It’s a tough job sometimes, and things don't always go perfectly, but everyone tries their best to keep things moving. We deal with all the usual hospital stuff—paperwork, cleaning, checking on equipment, and making sure the rooms are ready. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. No one has time for fancy speeches or complicated mission statements. We just focus on the task at hand, whether that’s fixing a machine or helping a visitor find their way to the right department. The area around here in Pune has changed a lot since the hospital first opened. You see new buildings going up all the time while we just keep doing our daily rounds.
