Surya Watch Co

The shop is located at 122 Guruwar Peth, right where the street usually stays a bit crowded with shoppers and scooters. Surya Watch Co has been sitting here for a long time, and you can hear the sound of different clocks ticking the second you step inside. It’s a small place, filled with glass counters that have seen better days, but they hold everything we need. My hands are usually a bit stained from working with the small tools and oil all day. We don’t really do much fancy stuff here, just fixing things that stopped moving and making sure people can tell the time. The lighting is a bit yellow and soft, which helps when you're looking at tiny gears for hours. People from the neighborhood often drop by just to chat or ask about a watch their grandfather used to wear. It gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, so I’m always wiping down the glass in the mornings before the sun gets too high. We keep a small radio playing in the background, usually some old songs that everyone knows. There isn't a big staff, just us sitting behind the counter. Guruwar Peth is a busy area, but inside the shop, everything feels a lot slower. We don't have a website or anything like that. If someone needs us, they just walk through the front door at number 122. It’s been that way for years now and we don’t plan on changing it much.
