Dockyard Road stays pretty busy all day, especially being so close to a big name like Advani Orlicon Co. Our place, Surya Tools Engineering, is located at S No-64 in the Chinchwad MIDC area. If you come by, you’ll mostly see us covered in a bit of oil or metal dust because that is just the nature of tool work. The workshop isn't quiet, with the lathes and grinders running most of the time. We have a small team here, and everyone knows their job. We don’t spend much time on the computer; most of the day is spent on the shop floor actually making things. Finding the place is easy enough if you know the Chinchwad area, though the traffic on Dockyard Road can be a bit much during shift changes. We've got our machines set up to handle different types of metal parts. It gets quite loud when everything is running at once, but we are used to it by now. There is no air conditioning or fancy lobby here, just a solid floor and the equipment we need to get the parts finished. We keep the doors open to let some air in, and you can hear the sounds of the industrial estate all day long. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do, and we just focus on getting through the daily list of tasks without too much fuss or unnecessary chatter.
