Renishaw Matrology

We’re based out in the Raisoni Industrial Estate, which is in Village Mann, part of Taluka Mulshi. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s a good spot for what we do with matrology. We’re spread across a few different plots and hissas on the survey maps, specifically S.No 283 and 284. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything pretty. There are trucks and factory noises everywhere. Inside, though, we have to keep things a bit cleaner because we deal with precision equipment and measuring tools. If the floor is too vibrating or dirty, it messes with the work. The weather out in Mulshi can be quite something during the monsoon; it gets really green but the roads become a challenge. We have a decent crew who knows their way around a micrometer and a probe. We aren't here to give sales pitches. Most of the people we talk to are other engineers who just want to know if their parts are the right size. We spend our days calibrating things and checking specs. It’s quiet, focused work for the most part. We don't have a fancy lunchroom, so we usually just gather around and talk about whatever is going on in the village or the estate. It’s a practical, hardworking atmosphere without any of the corporate fluff you might find in the city center. We just get on with the job and hope the traffic on the way back isn't too bad.
