Suruchi Pan Shop

Being in Hadapsar means you get used to the crowd. Suruchi Pan Shop is my place, and it sits right where people pass by all day long. I don't have a huge sign or anything fancy, just the name and the counter. I usually get here before the sun is too high because once it gets hot, everyone wants to be in the shade. The shop is small, so I have to keep everything in its place or I can't move around. I spend most of my time leaning on the counter watching the cars go by. Some of my regulars have been coming here for years. They tell me about their kids or their jobs while I get their things ready. It’s funny how much you learn about people just by standing in one spot. Hadapsar is growing so fast, with new shops opening all the time, but I just stay here doing what I do. I don't really bother with much else. When the rain comes, it gets a bit messy on the road outside, but people still stop by under their umbrellas. I keep a spare cloth to wipe down the counter when it gets damp. It’s not much of a business to some, but it’s mine. I like the routine of it. I close up when the street starts to empty out, usually around ten. Then I walk home and do it again the next day.
