Suraj Battery

Suraj Battery is located on Dumas Road in Hadapsar, specifically at 154-5 3. It’s a corner of the world that sees a lot of vehicles, which makes sense for what we do. The shop is filled with the smell of lead and acid, and there are batteries stacked up almost to the ceiling in some spots. It’s heavy work. Moving these things around all day keeps you strong, that’s for sure. We spend a lot of time testing voltages and cleaning off terminals that have gotten all crusty. The workbench in the back is where most of the real work happens. It’s got scorch marks and old spills on it, but it’s where we get things running again. Hadapsar is a busy area, so there’s never a dull moment with the traffic on Dumas Road. We see people coming in with dead cars or bikes, looking a bit stressed, and we just do what needs to be done. There’s no fancy waiting room here. You just stand by the counter or wait outside while we check the charge. Sometimes we have to deal with the rain coming in through the front if the wind is blowing the right way. It’s a simple shop for a simple job. We don’t try to make it sound more important than it is. We just sell and fix batteries at our little spot on the road. It is honest, hard work and it keeps us going.
