Sunshine Kitchen

Sunshine Kitchen is located on Pimple Gurav Drive In Road, and it stays pretty busy from the early morning hours. We are basically a kitchen where we spend most of our time chopping vegetables and stirring big pots of food. The heat from the stoves is constant and the sound of the exhaust fan is always in the background. We have a few big stainless steel tables where we do all the prep work. The Drive In Road area has a lot of traffic, so we are always watching the clock to make sure our deliveries go out before the roads get too clogged. We do not have a fancy dining area; it is more about the cooking and getting the food out to where it needs to go. My apron is usually stained with something by noon and the floor gets a bit slippery from the steam and the oil. We have a small team of cooks who have been with us for a while, and we just work in a tight space. Sometimes we run out of ingredients and someone has to run to the market quickly. It is a bit chaotic during the lunch rush, with everyone shouting orders and the containers being packed as fast as possible. We just focus on the food and making sure the kitchen stays clean enough to start all over again the next day.
