Sunil Fabricators

We are Sunil Fabricators and you can find our workshop over on Sankey Road in Warje. It’s a loud place because of the machines and the metal work we do all day. I started this shop because I like working with my hands and making things that last. The area around Sankey Road is mostly industrial, so we fit right in with the other shops. There’s usually a pile of scrap metal near the entrance and the smell of welding is always in the air. I have a couple of guys who work with me, and we’ve been together for a long time. We don't have a fancy showroom or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find me with a mask on or holding a grinder. The floor is concrete and always covered in shavings and dust. It’s hard work and it gets very hot in the summer, especially with the torches running. We take our breaks sitting on some wooden crates outside when the weather is nice. People bring us their broken gates or ask us to build frames for their houses. We don't do much advertising, word of mouth is usually enough to keep us busy. Sometimes we have to work through the weekend to finish a big order. It’s just the way it is when you run your own shop. It’s not a clean job, but seeing a finished piece of work makes it worth the effort.
