Sundar Provision

Sundar Provision is located in the middle of Kalewadi, and it's the kind of place where you can find just about any daily necessity. We have stacks of rice bags near the entrance and rows of spices that make the whole place smell like a kitchen. It’s a busy little spot, especially in the mornings when the milk delivery comes in and everyone is trying to get their groceries before the heat of the day starts. The shop isn't very big, so we have to use every inch of wall space, with items hanging from the ceiling and tucked into every corner. We’ve been in Kalewadi for years, and the shop has become a bit of a meeting point for the older folks who like to complain about the traffic. We use a manual weighing scale for some things because it feels more reliable than the digital ones that sometimes flicker. The floor is made of old stone and it’s worn smooth from all the feet walking over it. We don't do any advertising or anything like that; people just know we are here and that we have what they need. Sometimes we run out of something and have to tell people to come back tomorrow, which is just how it goes. It’s an honest way to make a living, serving the people who live on our street and making sure the shelves are as full as we can get them.
