We've been at Pooja Prasad Apartments for a while now. It's just a small place near Ashirwad Magal Karyalay in Hadapsar. Most of the work involves herbs and different aromas. Sasane Nagar is a busy area but we manage to keep things moving. The flat is on the fourteenth floor, so it's a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but we like it here. People often ask what we actually do with the plants and oils. It's mostly processing and getting things ready for customers who need natural ingredients. My cousin helps out with the paperwork and I handle the stock. We started this because we saw a need for real herbs in Pune. Sometimes the smell of the oils fills the whole hallway, which the neighbors don't always love, but it’s part of the job. We keep the inventory in the back room and try to stay organized. It's not a fancy office or anything. Just a few desks, some shelving, and lots of bags of dried leaves and bottles. Working in Sasane Nagar means we’re close to the main markets, which is handy for shipping. We spend most of the day packing orders or talking to suppliers on the phone. It’s quiet work usually, except when the delivery trucks arrive. We just keep our heads down and try to get the quality right every single time. It feels good to see the boxes go out. We've lived in Pune all our lives and this business is our way of staying connected to the local trade.
