Working out of Flat No 09 in the D-Wing of Sukhwani Akashdeep is a bit different from your typical corporate office. Since we are in Shashtri Nager, Kasarwadi, we are right in the middle of a residential area that’s very close to the industrial belt. The flat has been converted into a workspace, so it still has the layout of a home, complete with a small kitchen and a balcony. We’ve replaced the living room furniture with long tables and office chairs. It feels a bit more personal than a standard office building. You can hear the neighbors occasionally, and the smell of home-cooked food often drifts in during the afternoon. The D-Wing is usually quiet during the day when most residents are out at work. We keep our files in what used to be the bedroom cupboards. It’s a bit of a tight fit when we have visitors, but for our daily tasks, it works out just fine. Kasarwadi is a busy part of Pune, but once you get inside the building, it feels a bit more tucked away. We don’t have a big glowing sign on the roof, just the number on the door. It’s a humble setup where we handle our administrative work and coordinate with the other branches. It’s practical, low-key, and lacks any of the usual office pretense. Most of us just wear regular clothes and focus on the screens and the paperwork all day.
