Star Engineers

Our place is located in the Chinchwad Narhe Industrial Estate, specifically at Plot No 54/2 in Block D/2 of the MIDC area. Being in the MIDC means there is always something going on nearby, whether it's a new construction project or just the usual movement of workers and materials. Star Engineers has been operating out of this unit for some time now. The workspace is filled with lathes and various tools that have seen a lot of use over the years. We keep the machines oiled, but there is always a layer of fine metal dust on the windows. The lighting isn't the brightest, especially in the back corners of the shed, so we use portable lamps when we need to see the fine details. It gets quite loud when everything is running at once, making it hard to hear the phone ring in the small cabin. We have a routine where we clean up the scrap metal every Friday afternoon so the floor stays mostly clear for the next week's work. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know the turns in the industrial estate. We don't have a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door just wipes their hands on a rag and sees who it is. It’s a straightforward setup for people who just want to get things fabricated or repaired. We try to keep things organized but it’s a working shop, so there’s always a bit of a mess somewhere.
