Stalwart Furniture

If you are walking around Warje Malwadi, you will probably see us near the Food Worls. Stalwart Furniture has been in this neighborhood for a good while. The shop usually smells like wood and sawdust because there is always something being moved or fixed. We have a lot of stuff packed into the space, so you have to watch your step when you come in. It is not a showroom where everything is perfect and untouchable. We want people to actually sit on the chairs and see if they like the feel of the wood. The area around Food Worls is always busy with people doing their grocery shopping, so we get a lot of foot traffic. Sometimes people just come in to get out of the sun for a minute and end up looking at a table. We don't have a big sales team. It is usually just one or two of us here ready to answer questions. We don’t use any fancy computer systems for our inventory; mostly it’s just notebooks and a good memory of what is in the back. The floors are a bit dusty and the lighting could be better, but that’s just how a furniture place is. We enjoy being part of the Warje Malwadi community. It’s a practical business for people who need something solid for their homes. We don't try to be anything we aren't.
