S.S.D. Traders

S.S.D. Traders is tucked away in Budhwar Peth at Plot No-739. We are on Tapkir Galli, which is quite close to Gadikhana Chowk. If you know the area, you know it’s very old and the streets are quite narrow. Tapkir Galli can get very congested, especially during the middle of the day. Our shop has been here for a long time. It’s part of the fabric of this neighborhood. We trade in various goods and our space is filled with whatever we’re moving that week. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stock piled up. We don't have a website or any of that new stuff. We just rely on people knowing where we are and coming to see us. The building is old, like most things in Budhwar Peth, but it’s sturdy. We spend our days dealing with suppliers and local customers who walk in from the chowk. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking orders. We don't have air conditioning, so it gets hot in the summer, but we just keep the fans going. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We aren't looking to change much. We just want to keep trading and staying busy in our little corner of Tapkir Galli. There's usually a lot of noise from the street, but that's just Budhwar Peth. We just get on with it every day.
