Our place is located out in Dhayarigaon, specifically in the 2nd Block of the H R B R Layout at 50/366. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you aren’t from this side of town. The shop is filled with all kinds of metal pieces, some new and some that look like they’ve been sitting there for a decade. We deal with various scraps and metal sheets, so it’s never really quiet. You can hear the grinding and the clinking of pipes all day long. The layout is still growing, so there’s always construction noise nearby too. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just a big open space with a heavy metal gate. Most of the time, the floor is covered in metal shavings and we have to sweep it out every evening. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty within five minutes of starting. We keep a few chairs near the entrance for when someone comes to talk about a bulk order or just to take a break from the heat. The sun hits the metal sheets in the afternoon and makes the whole place feel like an oven, but we’re used to it. We just keep our heads down and get the sorting and cutting done. It’s a basic operation but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for a delivery truck to show up. It is just the way the business goes.
