We are based out in Elappully, which is a quieter part of Palakkad. Our place is called Chaithanya, and it is located right where the surroundings are still quite green and open compared to the main town area. It is a simple setup we have here. There are no big glass windows or modern office furniture, just a sturdy building that handles the Kerala weather. During the monsoon, the rain hits the roof pretty hard, and we sometimes have to shout a bit to hear each other over the sound. On sunny days, it is actually quite peaceful. We start our work early in the morning before the heat really kicks in. The local roads are not too busy, so the commute for everyone is usually easy. We have a few desks and some equipment tucked away in the back. Most of the people working here live nearby in the village, so we all know each other well. We do not spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. Instead, we just focus on getting the daily tasks done and making sure everything is running the way it should. Sometimes a stray dog will sit by the door for shade, and the neighbors will stop by just to say hello. It is a very grounded way to work, away from the rush of the big cities, and that seems to suit us just fine for now.
