Working out of Budhwar Peth 102/685 means dealing with a lot of noise and people moving around all day. Sms Computers has been in this building for several years. The space isn't huge, but we've fit all our gear inside. Most of our day is spent looking at screens or opening up hardware. It’s dusty work sometimes, especially when the old machines come in. We don't have a fancy lobby or coffee machine for guests. Usually, there's just a chair or two near the entrance. We handle computer things as they come. Sometimes it’s a laptop that won’t turn on, other times it’s something else. We don’t try to act like a big corporation because we aren't one. It’s just a few desks and some shelves full of spare parts. The lighting in here isn't the best, but it works for what we do. Budhwar Peth is a busy part of town, so there is always something happening outside the window. We've got a routine that keeps us busy from morning until we close up at night. Nothing too exciting happens, just the usual work. We like it that way. If someone needs something fixed, they bring it over, and we take a look at it. No complicated forms or long waits. Just straight talk about what’s wrong and how long it might take to fix it. We keep a small radio on the shelf to listen to the local news while we work.
