Smradhi General Store

Smradhi General Store is located in Parvati Gaon, right across from the Shani Maruti Mandir in Pune. Being near the temple means we see a lot of people every day, especially on Saturdays. Our shop sells the usual things like snacks, toiletries, and some basic grocery items. It is a small place, so we have to be careful about how we stack the boxes. We don't have any big glass windows or fancy air conditioning. It is just a regular shop with a counter at the front. We live nearby, so it is easy for us to open up early. Many of our customers are people who have lived in Parvati for decades. They come in for their daily milk or a pack of cigarettes. We also keep some items used for puja since the temple is right there. The street can get a bit narrow and crowded, but that is just how Pune is in the older areas. We handle all the sales ourselves and try to keep everything in order. It gets dusty because of the traffic, so we are always wiping down the jars. We don't do any online business or use apps. People just come, buy what they need, and head home. It is a simple way to earn a living and we have been doing it this way for years now. We stay here until the last customer leaves.
