Smit Communication

If you go to Bibwewadi and look for number 7, you will find Smit Communication. It is a small place where we handle a lot of phone-related stuff. People are always dropping their mobiles or needing a new SIM card, so we stay pretty busy. I have been behind this counter for a long time now. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people walking by. We have shelves filled with chargers, cases, and those little screen protectors that are so hard to put on without bubbles. Sometimes someone comes in with a really old phone and asks if we can fix it, and we try our best. It is a neighborhood spot. We know many of the people who walk in by their first names. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who needs help. The air conditioner works most of the time which is nice in the summer. We spend a lot of time looking at tiny screws and circuit boards under a magnifying glass. It can be hard on the eyes but it is what we do. We don't make a big fuss about things. If a phone can be fixed, we fix it. If not, we tell them honestly. That is just the way it goes here and we have no plans of changing how things work.
