Vardhaman Metal

Being over here at Yashwant Industrial Estate in Dhayri, you get used to the sounds of the road. Vardhaman Metal is located right at Sr. No. 143/15/2, which is just across from the Datta Krushnal Mangal Karayalaya. It’s a bit funny because we’re here doing metal work and across the street there’s usually a wedding or some big party going on with loud music. Sinhagad Road is always packed with traffic, so we hear the horns honking all day long while we work. Lagadmala is a busy patch of town. Our workshop isn't anything special to look at, just a lot of metal and tools and a small area for sitting. We started out small and we’re still not a big company or anything. We just take the orders as they come and try to get the metal cut and ready. Sometimes it gets really dusty, but that’s just part of the job. Most of the guys working here live nearby in Pune, so we all know the shortcuts to avoid the traffic. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do. We just work, have some chai, and go home to our families. It’s a practical life and we’re okay with that. The estate has its own rhythm and we’ve been a part of it for a while now. It's just an honest way to spend the day.
