Simlaputta

If you are looking for Simlaputta, we are over in Khadki, right near the Vikas Krida Mandal. The address is a bit of a mouthful because we are staying at Mr. Somnath P. Bhumkar’s place, specifically Raju Nikam’s old house. It’s number 9 in the Sangamwadi area. It is one of those older buildings that has been around for ages, and you can really feel that when you walk in. The rooms are a bit small and the stairs are kind of narrow, but it’s got a lot of character. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just find us working at the old wooden desks. Pune can get pretty hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day long. We’ve been operating out of this house for a good while now, and everyone in the lane knows us. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see people in suits. We mostly wear whatever is comfortable for the weather. Sometimes the noise from the nearby playground gets a bit loud when there’s a match going on, but we don’t mind it much. It makes the place feel alive. We just handle our business day by day, making sure the local stuff is taken care of without making a big fuss about it. It’s a practical way to work, and being in an old house like this keeps us grounded. We just get on with things.
