Silicon Infotech is located right on Law College Road, which stays pretty crowded throughout the week. You can usually find us in the middle of all that activity, just doing our thing with computers and software. The office has been here for a while, and it has that lived-in feel with stacks of old manuals and spare parts sitting on the shelves. We get a lot of students from the nearby colleges coming in because their laptops died right before a deadline, and we also deal with local residents who just need someone to look at their home setup. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who actually enjoy messing around with technology. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or making things look corporate. It’s more about getting the work done and making sure people can get back to what they were doing. Sometimes the phones ring off the hook and other days it is quiet enough to actually organize the storage room, though we rarely get around to that. The rain can be a bit of a pain on this road, but we like the energy of the area. It’s a good place to work, even if the parking is always a bit of a nightmare. We just try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door, whether they have a big problem or just a quick question about their computer.
