Siddhivinayak Steel Traders

Working at Siddhivinayak Steel Traders means we are usually covered in some kind of grit or dust by noon. Our place is tucked into Mamta Appartment over on Gopal Wadi Road. It is a busy part of Sarswati Nagar here in Daund. Moving steel around isn't easy work and it makes a lot of noise, which I’m sure the neighbors in the building don't always love. We have trucks coming in and out all the time, trying to navigate the narrow parts of the road without hitting anything. The office part is small, mostly just a desk with too many papers and a phone that rings whenever we are right in the middle of loading something. We handle a lot of heavy stuff, so there is a lot of clanging and banging throughout the day. Daund gets pretty hot in the summer, and the metal gets even hotter, so we drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we can. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we know the inventory by heart. It’s not a quiet job, but it’s what we do. We don't spend much time making things look pretty. It’s more about getting the orders sorted and out the door to the people who need them. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard, but we just keep moving until the sun goes down and we can finally head home for the day.
