You can find Shriya Metal Crafts over in Dhayari, specifically on the 8th Main Road in Jayanagar, at number 28/24. This isn’t a store where things are neatly laid out on carpeted floors. It’s a craft workshop where we work with metal every day. There are hammers, welding machines, and pieces of metal scattered around the floor. It’s a bit of a rugged environment, but that’s what happens when you’re making things by hand. The air usually smells a bit like burnt metal or paint, depending on what we are working on that afternoon. We’ve been in this part of Dhayari for a while, and the neighbors are used to the noise coming from our unit. The building is simple, just four walls and a roof that keeps the rain off the equipment. We don't have any big corporate signs or anything like that, just the work we do. People come to us at 28/24 when they need something specific made out of metal. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes a project takes longer than expected, and we stay late into the evening.
