Shri Siddhi Battery Charging Station

Our little spot is over in Navi Peth, specifically at 48 Gulmohar Road 181. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking for it, but the locals know the way. Shri Siddhi Battery Charging Station is basically just a room full of chargers and cables. There is always that slight smell of acid and metal in the air, which I guess you get used to after a few years. People drop off their old batteries that have died out, and we hook them up to see if they can take a charge again. It’s heavy work, lugging those things around. My back usually hurts by the time we close up for the evening. The street outside is usually busy with people going to the shops nearby. We have a small bench outside where customers sit and wait sometimes, though it’s mostly just for us to take a breather. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the work we do. Sometimes the power goes out in the neighborhood and we have to wait it out like everyone else. It’s a simple life here. We see a lot of the same faces from around the Peth. We don't use any fancy apps to track things, just a notebook and a pen. It gets the job done. If a battery is dead, it’s dead, and we tell them straight. No point in making things complicated or promising something we can't actually do.
