Shri Krishna Vegetable Market

Shri Krishna Vegetable Market is located in the Warje area at the Chandan Shopping Center. We are right by the Viola Society and very close to the Bangalore-Mumbai Highway, near the Cipla Foundation. The market is always a bit noisy because of the highway traffic and the people coming in and out of the shopping center. Every morning, the fresh vegetables arrive, and we spend our time sorting through the crates of greens, potatoes, and onions. It is a lot of lifting and moving things around to make the displays look decent. Being near the Cipla Foundation means we get a lot of people passing by on their way to work or home. The air is often filled with the smell of fresh cilantro and the sound of trucks on the Bangalore-Mumbai Highway. We don't have any polished marketing or fancy displays. It is just a vegetable market where we weigh the produce and put it in bags for the customers. The Chandan Shopping Center is a busy spot in Warje, and we are glad to have a space here. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is trying to get their groceries for dinner. We just keep our heads down and serve the people from Viola Society and the surrounding areas. It is a simple life of selling what grows in the ground and being part of the daily bustle.
