Shreeram Varieties & Genral Stores

You can find Shreeram Varieties & Genral Stores at shop number 2, right near Sai Hospital in the Katraj area. We are positioned directly opposite Om Collection in the Gidc Estate. This shop has been my main focus for quite a few years now. We sell all sorts of things, from basic groceries to household items that people suddenly realize they need. Being near a hospital means we get a lot of different people coming in at all hours. We try to keep the shop stocked with the basics so no one leaves empty-handed. The space is a bit tight because we try to fit as much as possible onto the shelves. Sometimes things get a little disorganized when we are unpacking new boxes, but we straighten it up eventually. It’s a family-run kind of place, so you’ll usually see one of us sitting by the cash box. We don't have any fancy computer systems for inventory; we just keep an eye on what’s running low. The Katraj Gidc area is always moving, and we are just one small part of it. We know many of our customers by their first names because they live just around the corner. It’s not a polished retail store, but it’s honest and serves the neighborhood well. We just take it day by day, making sure the milk is fresh and the shelves aren't bare. When it rains, we have to move some of the outside displays inside quickly, which is always a bit of a mess.
