Shree Vitthal Provision Stores

Our store is located in Kamshet, over in Navarangpura. It’s called Shree Vitthal Provision Stores. We sell all the basic things you need for your kitchen and house. Rice, dal, soap, tea leaves, those kinds of things. It’s a small place but we pack a lot of stuff on the shelves. Sometimes it’s hard to find things but I know where everything is. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. We open early in the morning because that’s when people like to get their milk and groceries before work. Kamshet is a nice area and we know most of the families who live nearby. They come in and chat for a bit while we bag their flour or sugar. We don't have any of those fancy scanning machines, we just write things down and use a calculator. It works just fine for us and nobody complains. We try to keep the staples in stock so we don't run out when someone needs something for dinner. The shop gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home. It can be noisy but it feels like a community. We’ve been at this location for a good number of years now. Sometimes we run out of change in the middle of a rush, which is a bit of a headache, but we manage. There's no big secret to how we run things, we just show up and do the work every day.
