Our shop is down in Mata Market, right in the Samarth Nagar area. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don't know the way near Vakola Bridge. We are close to the Pleshwar Sports Club and the Dhobighat. There’s always something going on outside, especially with the local chawl committee office nearby. We sell all kinds of small things, which is why we have varieties in the name. It’s a lot of plastic items, some stationery, and things for the house. The shop is small and packed from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific thing, but we usually know which pile it’s in. The Samarth Nagar Sangavi Mauli area is always crowded. You can hear the noise from the bridge all day long. We open up in the morning and stay until late evening. It gets hot in the summer because of the low roof. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that make a lot of noise. People stop by on their way home from the station or the market. We talk to the neighbors a lot. It’s not a fancy business, just a local shop trying to provide what the neighborhood needs. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years. New buildings coming up while some of the old chawls stay the same. We just keep doing our thing day after day.
