Shree Sant Furniture

Shree Sant Furniture is located at 17/2 Anand Nagar in the Pydhonie (Mandvi) area. We are situated quite close to Madhukar Hospital which is the main thing people look for when they are coming to see us. The shop is always full of the smell of cut wood and sawdust. We have various pieces of furniture in different stages of being finished scattered around the floor. Pydhonie is a very busy and old part of Mumbai so the streets are always packed with people and carts. It can be a bit of a struggle to get the big pieces of wood delivered through the narrow lanes but we manage it somehow. We spend our days measuring and cutting and joining wood together. It is hard work on the hands and the back but we have been doing it for years. People from the neighborhood come in to ask about repairs or new cupboards and we just give them a fair answer. The hospital nearby means there are always a lot of people walking past our door and sometimes they stop in to look at what we are making. It is a dusty and noisy place but it feels good to see a finished table or chair at the end of the day. We stay open late most days until the sun goes down and the street lights in Anand Nagar come on.
