Shree Sainath General Stores

Shree Sainath General Stores is located on Senapati Bapat Road, specifically at Veer Nariman Street, Bazar Gate 191. It’s an interesting spot because S.B. Road has all these big malls and tall buildings, but our little corner feels much more traditional. The shop is full of everything you might need for the house—soaps, grains, snacks, and various household bits. We spend a lot of time weighing out items or stacking packets of biscuits on the shelves. Bazar Gate is a busy area, especially when the market is in full swing. The building at 191 has been there for a long time, and you can feel the age of the place. We start the day by setting out the milk crates and getting the newspapers ready for the morning rush. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bags and reaching for things on the top shelves with a wooden stick. The customers are mostly locals who have been coming to us for years. They know where everything is almost as well as we do. Sometimes we run out of something and have to tell people to come back tomorrow after the delivery truck arrives. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day. We don’t bother with anything fancy, just keeping the shelves stocked and the floor swept. The noise from Veer Nariman Street never really stops, but you get used to it after a while. It's just part of the daily routine for us here.
