Shree Ramdeo Super Market & General Stores

Our shop, Shree Ramdeo Super Market & General Stores, is tucked away near the Kate Petrol Pump. If you know the Kaka Halwai Estate on Satara Road, you have probably passed us many times. We are over in the Sahakar Nagar and Aundh Camp area. It is a bit of a long address, but once you find the petrol pump, we aren't hard to spot at all. We carry a bit of everything, from rice and lentils to soaps and plastic buckets. It gets pretty crowded in here on weekend mornings when everyone is doing their shopping for the house. The aisles are a little narrow because we try to fit as much stock as possible for the customers. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance for a few minutes while we unload sacks of flour. That is just how it goes with a shop this size. My family helps out behind the counter. We don't have those fancy scanners that beep all the time, just a simple way of doing things. People come in for their monthly rations or maybe just a cold drink when it is hot outside. The Sahakar Nagar community is decent, and we have gotten to know the neighbors well. We aren't trying to be one of those huge malls. We are just a general store where you can grab what you forgot to buy earlier. It is a lot of lifting and counting, but it keeps us busy. We like being part of the noise and life on Satara Road.
